Stories

This model isn't theoretical.

It came out of a computer business that had been running it for years before anyone called it a program.

Where it started

The computer company

Large customers had old machines they needed gone. They were hauled for free. The low-end units were upgraded and given away, the good ones went to the retail floor and online, the dead ones went to scrap. Four outcomes, one truckload.

Why businesses say yes

The dumpster was costing them

Disposal is a line item, and landfilling usable equipment reads badly in a sustainability report. A pickup with a manifest beats a roll-off on both counts.

Where it goes next

One stream, one operator

Each stream stands on its own, which makes each one a business somebody else can start. That is the whole reason the packages exist.

Operator stories will go here as operators join. We will not invent them in the meantime.
