Refresh Reuse Recycle is a for-profit company in the Annie's Action AI family. We do two things: we write up how each material recovery stream works, and we do the advertising that gets the independent operators running those streams found by the people who need them.
Recovery is a real trade with real liability — regulated materials, data on old machines, heavy things moved by hand. The person carrying that risk should be the person holding the licence, the insurance and the customer relationship. So the operator owns the trucks, the shop, the material and the customer, and we own the write-up, the listing and the advertising. Clean line, and we would rather state it out loud than bury it.
Out of a computer business, not a whiteboard. Large customers had machines they needed gone. They were hauled away free. The low-end units were upgraded and given away, the good ones went to the retail floor and online, and the dead ones went to scrap. Four outcomes, one truckload, and it worked for years before anyone wrote it down.
